Love this unit. Simple to use yet has a lot of powerful features. Built-in wifi let’s me connect my iPad to it to either control the unit from or run my Navionics boating app with sonar chart Live to get real-time charting on a new body of water. The icing on the cake has to be insight Genesis and its mapping. Incredible detail and once you’ve mad multiple trips on a lake that you’ve recorded sonar, merge those trips and create your own Lake charts.

Upgraded last year to the HDS7 Gen 3, Perfect for all I do boating and fishing. Added the trolling motor this year and the combination of units made me realize how much work I was doing to find the exact spot to anchor and actually start fishing. Use the autopilot to get me on the spot (time to get rods ready) and auto anchors when I am there. Wow!

So easy to setup and use with the touchscreen much easier than the other unit. I gave my brother the Bird unit. Love the HDS7 if you don’t have one go to your fishing store and test it I bet you buy it.
